The Fischer Hybrid 8.0 is a new ski for the advanced to expert skier who is looking for one tool to take on all conditions. Fischer has developed Hybrid Rocker that is a switch on the mid body of the ski that can change the camber profile of the ski from traditional camber to tip rocker with camber. If you feel like skiing some powder in the morning you should have the rocker activated to give you some better float in the soft stuff. In the afternoon once the pow has gotten chewed up and sun baked you can flip the switch to take the ski back to traditional camber for power, rebound and stability to charge groomers. You can get the best of both worlds with the Hybrid 8.0 rocker and camber. The 85 mm waist is very versatile for both on piste and off piste skiing, stability and float, while you still get quickness edge to edge. The Air Carbon Ti 0.5 Construction is very light, but gives you uncompromised stiffness, while still being very stiff torsionally, without adding any extra weight. The Hybrid 8.0 Also has a Sandwich Sidewall Construction that adds to the torsional stiffness, and gives you fantastic edge hold on the firm snow or even ice. If you are looking for an all mountain ski that can charge both the groomed and ungroomed terrain, and some days you want rocker some days you dont, the Fischer Hybrid 8.0 will be a great ski for you.

2013 Fischer Hybrid 8.0 Ski Review
Comments:
Hi I'm Steve, I just got off the Fischer Hybrid 8 .0 I give this ski 4 out of 5 stars. I really liked that this is the new technology new this year for 2013 where you can change the ski both back and forth from rocker to camber. So basically what you do is you flip this little lever up and you hit the ski like this and it clicks into a rockered position and you move it back and do it again and it clicks into a cambered postion. I love this ski, on a camber it's a hardpacked day today this ski, skied wonderful in camber. It might be a 5 out of 5 stars if I had a chance to ski it in softer conditions because the rocker would have been nice to take on some softer snow. On the hard snow I didnt like the rocker quite at much but like I said it's more designed for some softer snow conditions so at least 4 out of 5 stars maybe 5 out of 5. So cool new technolgy casue now you dont have to decide between weather you want to take the cambered skis out because it's a hard packed day but it might snow later or take your powder skis out hoping that the snow comes. You can have two skis in your arsenal just be taking this along. So it's a interesting concept I think we'll see more of these.

2013 Fischer Hybrid 8.0 Ski Review
Comments:
I'm Adam and I was just skiing on the Fischer Hybrid 8.0. I give this ski a 5 out of 5. Really unique ski here that you can actually change the camber profile. you can add a little bit of tip rocker or snap the ski back and put it into a traditionally cambered ski just by the switch right here. Nice and stable in long turns and quick turns. It's a little skinny for deep pow, but areally well rounded ski for mid west or back east. 5 out of 5.

Asked : Dec 14, 2013
By : no, pa
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Whether or not your bindings will fit is determined by the brake width. If your bindings have a brake that is between 85-100mm it should work correctly.
