The Fischer BCX Auto is a great backcountry binding that has an automatic action. The 56 mm wide plate will give you more control and easier turning through the unbroken snow. Please note these bindings do not come with the mounting plate.

      Find a suitable outfitter, one you trust, and if they won't assist you with installation, theres probably a reason.
      some things just need to be done right, and the only guarantee for that is taking it to someone who does this sort of thing for a living, someone who depends on repeat business, in short, someone who knows what they are doing.
      Having said that...
      I'd just mount up and go for it, but I'm that way.
      I cannot answer for you, you might want to have it done by a professional.
      And that is okay too.
      Hurry up though, winter is half over.
