The Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTi is a great all mountain ski for the expert who is looking for some technology and power in their ski. The Amphibio rocker profile has one rockered edge on the outside of the ski, and a cambered edge on the inside of the ski. You can get the benefits of both rocker and camber in one ski. Rocker on the outside helps the ski hook up and turn easy, and the camber gives a powerful edge grip, you get a ski that is easy to turn and delivers powerful edge hold and quick turning. The XTi construction has a layer of titanium give great edge control while longitudinal carbon fibers give responsiveness and an easy transition in turns. RST Sidewalls to give you a strong edge hold on the firm snow or even ice, and they transmit energy directly to the snow. The new Fusion binding system is 15% lighter than before. The Waveflex zone on the shovel of the ski gives the ski an easy longitudinal flex, that helps you carve, and turn with ease, while still having a stiff torsional flex for stability and control, making the Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTi a really easy ski to carve both short quick turns, and long powerful turns. The 82 mm waist is wide enough for you to take on some light powder, and crush the crud. |

Hey I'm Steve and I just got of the Elan Waveflex 82 TI. I give this skis 5 out of 5 stars it blew me away. It's probably the easiest turning ski i've skied in a long time, maybe forever. It requires almost no effort, it's got rocker on one side and camber on the other and it initiates into a turn amazingly smooth. You really dont have to do anything to ski this ski. You really just put your weight on the outside and this ski just turns itself. Very smooth easy transtions nice turn shapes, you can do wide and short. There is a 78 a 82 and a 88. The 82 was my favorite of all of them If you're a person like me who is maybe looking to a ski thats a little easier. I can ski stiffer wider skis, but something thats not quite so tiring. In my 50's i've had 3 knee surgeries and if you're looking for something that just makes skiing really fun and easy this is the ski that I would recommend.

Whats going on Jeff here. Just got of this new Waveflex XTI for 2013. This is a fun ski. I would like to maybe get ahold of some maybe a little bit longer than their 168 to see what limits you can actually push this to. I'm going to give it a 4 out of 5 star because it is a good ski. It's going to be really fun for you high end intermediate, advanced skier, somebody who's going to be doing some mainly frontside skiing. If you want to cruise the groomers, maybe chase your kids for a day or to go out and do some fun turns, this ski is going to be able to do a lot of things for you. It's torsionally stiff with its vertical sidewall. And the Amphibio technology behind it so you're getting rocker, camber and type different races built into this ski. So that uphill ski with the lesser radius on the outside really slides in nicely make it so you can initiate into your next turn very well. Again it's another good ski from Elan.

Hunter here with the Elan 82 Waveflex XTI. This is a 4 out of 5 star ski for me. What I liked about it, unlike the older brother in the line, is how much energy it has out of turns. It's really snappy and playful. The difference is the 82 had a bit of a top end speed limit for me. The tip would kind of shimmy in between turns at high speeds. For your advanced to expert, predominantly hard snow skier, a lot of east coast conditions, this would be a great choice for dominating groomers.

Hi this is Charlie. I just go off the Elan Waveflex 82 XTI. I'm going to give this ski a 4 out of 5 stars. I liked the whole Waveflex part from Elan. I'm just not quite sold on the Amphibio piece. It's really snappy and responsive from edge to edge. It likes to go in between the turns. I'm just not sure if I like the Amphibio on it.

Trey here with Elan's Waveflex 82 TI Amphibio. As per usual with the Amphibio skis I'm going 5 out of 5 stars. I think it's absolutely amazing. I feel like I have a race background even though I don't. I mean it just totally rails turns. You can turn it quick. You can make big long cruising turns. I think it's an excellent ski for anybody that's on the east coast or the mid west you're only taking 1 trip out west. So real stable real powerful but effortless at the same time.

Hi Thom here with the Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTI. I give this 4 out of 5 star. Real fluid, real stable ski. Good edge hold. Does chatter a little bit towards the high end of speed if you get really aggressive over the front of the ski but for your intermediate to your advanced rider who's looking to spend most of their time on trail venture off trail very minimally, it's going to be a good fluid all mountain carver.

Hi I'm Kevin. I just got off the Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTI. I really enjoyed this ski. I give it 4 out of 4.5 out of 5 stars. Very easy very forgiving with the Amphibio technology, it's very quick edge to edge. Very smooth transitions from turn to turn. Really enjoyable, great edge grip. Lots of pop, lots of snap. I could load this up, I felt a little bit easier that the 88 so if you're a little bit lighter weight like myself maybe get on the 82. It's not going to be quite as versatile but still a very good groomed trail oriented still waist width worth it attacks just fine. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
