Current ski trends have the concept or rocker being thrown into just about every ski out there and regard of the name most forms are are largely the same. Amphibio is different. Where rocker is a set amount of rise over the tip and/or tail of a ski, Amphibio is a totally reworked approach. The idea is simple enough, rocker makes skis easy to turn and camber gives skis great edge grip, so why not use both. To achieve this Amphibio skis are fully cambered tip to tail on the inside edges for power and grip, but the outside edge is slightly rockered in the tip and tail allowing the uphill ski to enter the turn with ease and control. This technology creates a right and left specific ski. The 82 XTI is wide enough to handle crud and off piste conditions and quick enough to rip turns on hard packed. Using a laminated woodcore with Dual Ti layers, and full RST sidewalls the 82 XTI has powerful edge hold and precise turn initiation making it a great ski for any skier advanced to expert who spends the majority of time on piste but will venture into the trees, crud and bumps on occasion.

This is Simon. I just demoed this Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTi 168cm at Grouse Mountain, Vancouver, BC. Today the temperature is about 1c above the mountain and the snow is really soft. This ski makes huge difference comparing to my entry level Rossigonol skis. Amphibio likes speed and very stable. My skis have trouble in moguls but this Elan Amphibio gives me lots of control in moguls. It is a little bit heavy but I did not feel the weight when skiing. It is also very forgiving. I made several mistakes however it did not throw me out.
I am 171cm tall but I did not feel this ski is too long for me. I love it.
Hi, this is Thom. I'm here with the Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTi. I'm happy, I said that right I give this ski 4/5. Real stable ski with the full sidewall, holds an edge real well. It's a little bit damp for my liking. I like a ski with a little bit more pop but for that little more traditional skier that's got a pretty solid carve down. You spend more of your tI'me on groomer and like in the ski that's just really mellow real smooth ski you're going to find yourself real happy.
Hi, this is Trey. With Elans Amphibio 82 Ti. I'm gonna give this ski 4.5/5 stars. It's got the crazy funky technology with the Amphibio which is a totally asymmetrical ski. It's rockered on the outside, full camber on the inside so it hooks up great. But it's easier to transition your turns, cruise all over the mountain. Definitely a front side groomer, advanced to expert ski. Very very stable, pretty easy to ski once you figure out and they're really really fun.
Kyle here. I just got off the Elan 82 XTi. This ski is with the Amphibio-tech, It's a killer ski. This skis great for that person who really likes to carve out of those turns. This one in particular is great for someone who's going really fast. It really lays over hard on those edges you can really get sideways if you want. I give this ski 5/5.
Hi, I'm Kevin. I just got off the brand new Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTI. It's quite the mouthful but It's worth saying, It's a good ski it's a very unique ski. What the Amphibio technology is they are actually asymmetrical skis. You've got full camber on your inside edge and a little bit of rocker in the tip. You can see that swooped right there it's got Rocker in the tip and tail so what it does is creates a very forgiving turn initiation. The ski just kind of glides into a turn outside to inside edge transition. So it's a very forgiving, very easy ski, very nurturing ski would be a good way to describe it. If you're kind of struggling to really get that ski to roll over smoothly on edge this ski will definitely help you get there very very easily. So overall the ski gets a 4/5 stars from me it's going to be a good all-around ski. Great on the hardpacked if you spend most of your tI'me there, if you get a little but of cruddy soft snow It's a great ski for that.
I'm Charlie. Here with the Elan Waveflex Amphibio 82 XTI. I'm going to give this ski 4/5 stars. It's a new rocker this year for them with a rocker in the tip here and the camber still It's a great ski. It's a little bit bigger underwaist so It's going to make a big turns. It's really easy to initiate, it's a great ski for all mountain and groomed runs.
Hi, I'm EJ. With the Elan Amphibio Waveflex XTi in 82. Left and right specific skis, they've got a cambered tip and tail end sections on the non carving edge. So this makes for a very smooth and responsive ski. Stable at speed but will hold and be responsive in powder conditions. So it's not going to bog you down and hook up prematurely. I'm a carving oriented skier this ski was very smooth and responsive. I love this ski. I give it a 4 star out of 5 have a great ski day.
This is Hans. I just came off the Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTi. The 82 is a little bit wider, but It's also a little bit softer. The same construction as the left and right ski so the skis our asymmetrical. The outside edge slightly rockered makes the ski a lot more forgiving. This is definitely a ski that you can ski anywhere you want to go, hardpacked, soft conditions, even in powder, this ski is designed for intermediate skier. I give it four out of five.
Jeff here with Elan 82 XTi. This is a really really fun ski, little bit shorter than what I would have liked to be able to ski in. But still a really fun tI'me good transition from side to side. With a little bit wider underfoot, you want to give it that half a second, it's not a slalom ski. Give it some room to turn, your gonna enjoy it a lot. You can take the ski anywhere from East Coast to West Coast North to South it doesn't matter. It's a really fun ski with the asymmetrical side cut on these by rockering the tips and tail on your outside so what would be your uphill ski is going to help with the anti-catch. I give this a good 3/5 stars.
