The Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78 Fusion is a great ski for the intermediate to advanced skier who will spend almost all of their time on piste making quick and controlled turns. The Rocker profile has one rockered edge on the outside of the ski, and a cambered edge on the inside of the ski. You can get the benefits of both rocker and camber in one ski. Rocker on the outside helps the ski hook up and turn easy, and the camber gives you powerful edge grip, you get a ski that is easy to turn and delivers superior edge hold. The Waveflex zone on the shovel of the ski gives the ski an easy longitudinal flex, that helps you carve, and turn with ease, while still having a stiff torsional flex for stability and control. A Lithium layer reinforces the Power Wood core for a lively ski that has some power. The new Fusion binding system is 15% lighter than before, and is free flexing, so the binding can move independently of the ski giving you more control with every turn you make. A wide binding interface will give you more power transmission from you boot to the ski edge and makes your skis even quicker edge to edge. The Amphibio 78 has RST Sidewalls to give you even stronger edge hold on the firm snow or ice.

Comments about Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78 Skis with EL 11.0 Fusion Bindings:

Sean here, I just got done sking the Elan Waveflex 78 ski, I give this ski a 4 out of 5 stars, It's going to be geared toward that intermediate to intermediate advanced skier. It's going to be make for all mountain runs pretty much. It will also handle a little bit of crud. It's not super forgiving ski but once you get locked in and you want to go fast down a groomed run it will handle like a champ It has a lot of stability once you're going in the long S turns on the short turns it handles nimbly through short turns you can cut left or right really simple and easy. Overall I give this ski a 4 out of 5 stars.

Comments about Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78 Skis with EL 11.0 Fusion Bindings:

Hi it's Fidel. I just got done testing Elan's 2013 Amphibio 78. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. Very responsive very quick. The only reason I dropped it down to 4 is that at higher speeds it kind of chattered a little bit for me, but I am a bigger guy. I think if I probably was 20-30 pounds lighter it would be an awesome which would have no problem holding it's edge. Really enjoyed 4 out of 5 stars.

2013 Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78 Review

Comments about Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78 Skis with EL 11.0 Fusion Bindings:

Hey I'm Brad. I just got off the Elan Waveflex 78. I give this ski a 4 out of 5 stars. I like the Waveflex line a lot. This is one thinner ones in the group. Definitely got pushed around a little bit more than some of its older brothers in the 82 and 88 but again if you're in smoother conditions and not dealing with a lot slop or a lot of soft snow it skis really well, slower speeds and higher speeds. It transitions fast turns, short turns, long turns. You name it, this ski rocks underfoot. So if you don't plan on skiing a lot of slush or a lot of bumpier terrain want something that's a little bit smooth, just looking for something that absolutely well this is a perfect ski for you.

Comments about Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78 Skis with EL 11.0 Fusion Bindings:

Trey here with Elans Waveflex 78. Amphibio. I'm going to give this ski 4.5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this ski. Completely effortless. Anybody from even an aspiring intermediate to the casual advanced skier is going to have a ball on this. Especialy on the front side of the mountain you can make very quick turns or you can stand on it, lay it over make big cruising turns as well. Effortless transitions you can go anywhere and have fun ski.

Comments about Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78 Skis with EL 11.0 Fusion Bindings:

Hi I'm Kevin. I just got off the brand new Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78. Might be a mouthful but it's worth saying because this gets a 4 out 5 stars from me. Really good solid intermediate to advanced intermediate level ski. It's going to help you progress, get on edges real quick, real cleanly with the Amphibio technology it's just very smooth transition from edge to edge. Stable if you go too fast it was get a little squirrly on you but overall really good smooth, good edging ski for that advancing intermediate. 4 out of 5 stars.

Based on the stats provided, I would put you in the 177cm to 181cm length range for a model such as the Elan Amphibio Waveflex 78's.
