 Overview

The Powertrack 89 from Dynastar is a strong and agile ski for advanced to expert skiers. Two Full Length Titanium Layers sit above the Poplar Wood Core that delivers a damp and smooth feeling. Sandwich Sidewalls drive a tough edge into firm snow conditions for extra grip when things get a little icy. The Powertrack 89 has a highly maneuverable feeling thanks to the Progressive 5-Point Sidecut that brings the contact points closer to the center of the ski, while Tip and Tail Rocker create easy turn entry and exit for short to medium radius carves anywhere on the mountain.

  • 5-Point Sidecut

Hi, I'm Adam and I was just skiing on the Dynastar Powertrack 89 TI. I give this ski 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's a fantastic ski for that strong intermediate, all the way to the expert skier that's going to spend most of their time on the groom trail but will dabble off-piste once in a while. It has Dynastar's progressive 5 point sidecut; makes the ski extremely easy to maneuver. You can manipulate it into any turn shape you want. 89mm under foot with a rocker/camber/rocker profile. It's extremely agile, very stable at speed, long turn short turn, you can open up them go and haul it then shut it down real quick. It's just that kind of ski. 4.5 out of 5.

Hi I'm Brooks. I just got off the Dynastar Powertrack 89. Really a fun ski. It carved really well. It got a little sketchy when speeds got higher. Handled really well from edge to edge. Fun ski. 4 out of 5 stars.

Hey I'm Paulie. I just skied the Dynastar Powertrack 89. I give this ski a solid 5 out of 5 star rating. Again, the versatility here is amazing. It covers an intermediate through a low-level expert. You can make a variety of turns. But the really cool thing about this ski is you can ski it in different snow conditions because of the extra width. Again, I'd ski this a little bit longer because of the rock in the tip but this could be a ski that can definitely take an intermediate to the next level, no problem. Solid 5 out of 5 stars.

Hi I'm Steve. I just got off the Dynastar Powertrack 89. I give this ski 5 out of 5 stars. It's amazingly easy to turn. The word I would use to describe this ski is float. It just literally floats from turn to turn. Transition is almost seamless and effortless. Turn shapes are nice and wide and open. Holds edge really well and is really an easy ski to ski If you're the kind of person who doesn't ski a million days a year and you just want to jump on your skis and not have to re-learn where you left off on the previous season, and just have a ski that's just super easy to just take off and start turning like you're a champ, this is the ski for you.

Hi Thom. I just got off of the Dynastar Powertrack 89. This is a 4 out of 5 star ski for me. Where the ski is going to excel is that strong intermediate up through that expert level skier that's looking for something that's stable and predictable. Great edge hold, gets into the turn real easy, very smooth through the middle of the turn. It does lack a little bit of that finishing power and excitement but if you're looking for something that's smooth, predictable and just going to be there for you all day long, groomed snow, soft snow, crud and bumps - it's going to do everything for you and just be very calm, very predictable. 4 out of 5.
