That’s right, Breckenridge will be opening today and they will be doing so in rock star fashion. Thanks to a series of storms that brought an onslaught of snow to Colorado for a full week Breckenridge has a lot to offer.
Today at 9am Breckenridge will open and will open in epic fashion. For the 2010-2011 season Breckenridge will be offering a triple jump line, three chairs and two surface lifts. Grab your skis and hit up the 147 acres with up to 117 acres of hike-to bowl skiing in contest and Horseshoe bowls.
Yup, there will be ample attractions for us snow buffs with a total of 264 acres of available to play with. If all that is not enough to convince you to call in sick, well, there is 8-16 inches of more snow throughout the weekend.
Breckenridge will be rewarding those who get in for opening day. The first 1,000 people on the mountain will receive free breakfast. On top of that there will be extra perks including free parking and celebrating the opening of the Gold Runner Coaster the T-Bar where they will host their first apres party.
We understand if you have not even made it this far reading as you may have already ran out the door with your skis in tow, first chair is at 9 a.m. with the Colorado SuperChair. hopefully by now you’ve come up with a decent excuse to miss work or any other appointments, go, go, go!
