The Magnum 8.1 IQ Max is the Swiss army knife of the Magnum series. Built around an 81mm waist profile and a medium turn shape the Magnum 8.1 is most happy on trail but has enough width to comfortably slay open bowls and the occasional tree or bump run. With IQ Max Sandwich Compound Sidewall construction as its backbone the Magnum 8.1 has all the strength you could ever ask for and edge hold that last for days. Even the Biggest of skiers will find it impossible to overpower a properly sized Magnum 8.1. Backing up the construction is a full wood core reinforced with titanium layers adding huge amounts of pop and power to the Magnum 8.1 and helps it kill vibration for a very connected feel with the snow. To help make the Magnum 8.1 as versatile as possible it gets slight tip rocker. Serving two purposes the tip rocker allows the Magnum 8.1 to enter turns with little effort considering how much energy it gives back and allows the tip of the ski to plane above chop and soft snow for a smooth feel on inconsistent snow. Topping the 8.1 off is the IQ Max binding system, specifically designed to increase the edge to edge quickness of skis over 80mm underfoot. The end result is a ski that loves to turn, does so easily, and will never let go. For on trail dominance with the ability to comfortably dabble in off trail conditions hop on the Magnum 8.1 IQ Max.

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.1 IQ Max Skis with IQ Max 12 TT CM Bindings:
Hi, Trey here with Blizzards 8.1 TI. As the name implies it's got a layer of titanium and it you can really feel it's a very stable steady ski. Definitely have to ski it fast but if you do you're going to be rewarded. Its going to be predictable, plows through the crud no problem. I recommend the ski for a very aggressive intermediate or a solid advanced skier whose mainly skiing groomers and skiing big swooping cruising turns. Really fun predictable ski, I'd say probably I'd give it a 4/5.

Hi, I'm Thom and I'm here with the Blizzard Magnum 8.1 Ti. Really really nice ski, going to give this one four out of five. Real solid great edge hold, super variable on the turn radius. You can get in and out of quick turns and then right away go into a wide open GS style carve. Real stable the whole time it doesn't require that you be super aggressive, but it does prefer to be skied fast. At slower speeds it takes a little bit to get it up on edge but for your either your heavier or more aggressive skier even your larger aspiring intermediate it's a real solid ski.

Hi, I'm Steve. I just got off the Blizzard Magnum 8.1. I give it 4.5/5 stars this is a great ski. I think for that guy who wants a ski that can really go fast. Somebody like me who's maybe getting up there around 50 years old, likes to ski hard and fast but doesn't want to work too hard on the ski. It's got amazing edge hold, great pop from edge to edge very solid feeling ski very similar to a Volkl type feel. But I thought they transition easier and quicker than a Volkl and its great for a 81 mm waist. It's good for pretty much anything all mountain, whether it be hardpacked or soft conditions and it's really for that guy who likes to go fast and ski hard but doesn't want to work too hard while they're doing it.

Hey, Kyle here. I just got off the Blizzard 8.1Ti. This ski was really fun on groomers. It pretty much held an edge as long as you wanted and you could release really easy since it has titanium in it. It was really poppy and pretty lively with the bindings that come on it. This is a great ski for the price so I give this ski five out of five.

Hi, I'm Kevin and I just got off the Blizzard Magnum 8.1. I like this ski overall. I think it's good for advanced intermediate to an advanced may be low-level expert skier. Somebody that's skiing blues all the way up to blacks, maybe double blacks. Mostly going to be a front side skier, venture off terrain. The IQ binding system makes the ski very responsive the bindings actually lay down into the core of the ski so it's very responsive. Very stable, good edge grip it doesn't have quite as much energy as the 8.7. So if you're a little more aggressive and you want to go a little faster or your a little heavier guy I would probably jump up to the 8.7. I even like the feel little bit better so for me the 8.1 gets four out of five stars.

Jeff here, with the Blizzard 8.1 Ti. Obviously the Ti meaning titanium built into the ski so this is going to be a little bit burlier. Maybe for somebody who's a little bit more harder charging. This is going to be a really fun versatile ski, obviously we have a sandwich sidewall construction to it, so great torsional stability and edge hold. It's actually a really fun ski you could do pretty much anything that you want with it. Quick snappy turns, a little bit larger radius ones. At 17 meters this is a really fun ski its extremely versatile can be used in Midwest or East Coast some of the groomers out west. You could take this ski almost anywhere that you want to go. I give this a solid 3/5 stars.

This is Hans, with the Blizzard Magnum 8.1 Ti. The 8.1 Ti does have a metal sheet in it so it's a little little bit stronger than its smaller brother the 7.6. Loves to ski longer turns and it will hold really well and with an 81 underneath the foot it will be good in softer snow conditions. Again this ski you could take East Coast to West Coast pretty much all conditions you want to ski on. Advanced level skier, I give it a 3/5.

Hey everyone, it's Fidel and I just got off the Blizzard Magnum 8.1 TI. Overall I give it a solid 4/5 stars. Quick edge to edge, full sidewall construction, lots of energy transfer there. Hold its edge really well on the front side, I would recommend it for your advancing intermediate to your solid technical skier who likes to go everywhere on the mountain. Not necessarily going into anything deeper than crud, I think it loses a little bit of its ability to hold its edge there because of the waste width. But overall I really liked it 4/5 stars.

Hi, this is EJ and this is the Blizzard 8.1 titanium IQ ski. I demonstrated it in a 165 length that's relatively short for somebody my size, but this ski rocks. It gives you a great sense of agility and a shorter length holds a hard turn on the steep down hills and hardpacked. At 81 mm underfoot this ski is going to float over powder, the new construction of this model has a little bit of rocker in it. Just a little bit not really noticeable but it's going to gauge over the powder really nicely. If you're an intermediate level skier you're going to like this and you are going to like this too if you're an advanced level skier. This ski will hold anywhere on the mountain and have a great time for you so be a smart guy by the ski. Five stars.
