The Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti is a great ski for advanced to expert skiers who love flying down the groomers at medium to fast speeds making medium to tight radius turns. The Flipcore 3D Technology has a natural bend to it so the wood core is not bent or broken, so the flex stays consistent, for great stability, perfect edge pressure distribution, and ultimate control over your ski. The Magnum 8.0 Ti has the Spaceframe 3D construction that has a Titanal topsheet, but not full edge to edge, so you have a powerful ski that has a lighter swing weight, with a smoother flex, and a strong torsional strength without adding extra weight. Slight tip and tail rocker help the Magnum 8.0 hook up and turn very easily at fast speeds, while the tip rocker also helps deflect negative energy that is caused by bumps and crud for a smooth and stable ride. Camber underfoot will help you lock into powerful and decisive carves. The 80 mm waist is very nimble edge to edge, and is wide enough for you to take on light powder days off piste, and blowing apart any crud that lays in your path. If you are looking for a ski that likes quick turns, at medium to fast speeds, and will make heads turn as you blast by people on the groomers, the Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti is the ski for you.

2013 Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Skis 2013:

Hi, Tom here with the Blizzard Magnum 8.0 TI, give this 4/5 stars. It's the big brother to the 8.0 CA, so it adds a sheet of metal. It gives the ski a bit additional dampness, but it also takes some of the forgiveness out of the ski. So you have to be a little bit more alert, a little bit more on top of the skis. So your intermediate skier isn't gonna be as happy here. Your solid frontside all mountain skier will find something that's stable with tons of edge grip, and great pop to finish the turn.

2013 Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Skis 2013:

Hi, I'm Steve, I'm on the Blizzard Magnum 8.0 TI, it's the titanium version. It's got metal in the inside, I give this ski 4/5 stars. I actually like the carbon one better, same ski, same shape, but it was lighter, snappy. This one was too stiff for me, it almost actually threw me out of the turn. If your the kinda person who likes to drive a ski really hard, your looking for something with a 80 millimeter waist, and you want something that is super stiff, this would be a great ski for you. Personally I like the TI in the 85 better. I found it a more stable ski at a little wider width.

2013 Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Skis 2013:

Hey this is Luke. I just finished skiing the Blizzard Magnum 8.0 TI. I give this ski 4.5 out of 5 stars. Definitely enjoyed it a lot more with a layer of metal in it. Found it to be way more responsive. Great great out on the groomers. It's a solid carving ski. It had no troubles transitioning from edge to edge and it held the edge very good. This was just a fast fast ski. It would be great for you're upper intermediate through advanced and maybe even your casual expert level skiers. This would be one to check out.

2013 Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Skis 2013:

Hey I'm Kevin I just got off the Blizzard 8.0 Magnum TI. Not to be confused for the Magnum P.I. This is a really good ski. 4 out of 5 stars. For me I thought it was a really good but it's a little stiff. I'm on the lighter side, about 160 so I prefer the carbon version of this ski. The carbon is just easier to load up and get a lot more energy and pop out of the turns. The titanium was definitely a lot smoother at higher speeds but for me I just had a lot of trouble loading the ski up and getting all of the energy out of it I could. So if you're a little bit bigger guy, you'll definitely like the titanium over the carbon but otherwise really good edge grip good solid all mountain ski. 4 out of 5 stars.

2013 Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Skis 2013:

Hey it's Fidel. I just tested Blizzards Magnum 8.0 TI in a 179. I really love this ski. Really held it's edge, felt very stable underfoot. You've got Blizzards Flipcore. It's very quiet from edge to edge. Overall 5 out of 5. I think anybody who favors the frontside and really likes those groomers is going to love it.

2013 Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Ski Review

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Skis 2013:

Hi, I'm Charlie, I just got off the Magnum 8.0 TI. I'm gonna give this ski a 4/5 stars. Compared with the Carbon, it didn't have as much pop as it should. I'm used to a race ski, so I like to have that little extra pop, when I step on it. If your somebody that likes to make a bigger turn, and looking for a really stable ski, the metal in the ski really does that. Really dampens everything out, it just doesn't quite have the pop, that I'm looking for out of it.

2013 Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Ski Review

By Brad K

Comments about Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti Skis 2013:

Hey, I'm Brad, I just got off the Blizzard 8.0 TI. I give this ski a 3 1/2 out of 5 stars, is a little bit too much ski for me, I only weigh 145 pounds. This skis got some titanium in it, it's 80 millimeters under waist, so it needs to be ridden really hard and really fast. I just didn't have enough to get it over on edge, and let it hold. I found I was getting bucked from turn to turn. So if your a little bit of a bigger guy who likes high speeds, I'm sure this ski would rock. For us lighter little guys it's probably not the right ski. I would maybe try something a little bit softer like the carbon.

  • Q:

Is this specific model the same Magnum 8.0 Ti Suspension ski shown on the Blizzard website? I'm looking for something like the modern equivalent of Salomon's old ProLink suspension system in a frontside ski that's super stable at speed. Am I barking up the right tree with this ski? Any others that might fit the bill?

      A:

You are barking up the right tree here. The Blizzard Magnum 8.0 Ti is an incredibly stable and powerful frontside ripper that is very damp and controllable. You get modern shape here with the Flipcore rocker, which makes the ski more predictable as the groomers start to get carved up and choppy that also has respectable off piste capabilities for a ski that is designed to carve.
