The Magnum 7.4 IQ is an on trail performer for athletic beginner to intermediate skiers. By starting with a 74mm waist the Magnum 7.4 has an easy turning shape that can help skiers transition from skidder into carver and the guts to stick with you as you get better. Using IQ Sandwich Composite Sidewall construction and wood/composite blend core with a magnesium layer the Magnum 7.4 IQ is a very dynamic ski. This combination creates a ski that has great edge hold with a lively feel so when it is pushed it responds positively with smooth and powerful carves. It also allows the Magnum 7.4 IQ to skid and slide when being skied less aggressively so beginners can start off comfortably and have plenty of room to grow into the 7.4 IQ. Part of where this forgiveness comes from is the addition of slight rocker to the tip of the ski, which makes for incredibly easy turn initiation and gives a catch free feeling when the snow pack is choppier or bumped up. Both of these mean less energy needs to be put into the Magnum 7.4 IQ to get the most out of it, making for strong legs and more energy at the end of the day. Hey, this is Thom and I'm here with the Blizzard Magnum 7.4. For its category I'm going to give this thing a five out of five. full-side wall at 599, holds an edge really well initiates effortlessly both skidded and carved turns are pretty easily done on it. It's going to be a great transitional ski for the person whose a sold intermediate. Looking to improve and get their technique down a little bit, get better and wants a good solid front side ski that's going to carve real well and hold real well. The Magnum can certainly do that, but also for me when I got up on the edge and stood against it it's a very stable ski. So you're more casual advanced skier who's looking to spend a little bit less also be real happy with this.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Hi, I'm Steve. I just got off the Blizzard Magnum 7.4. I give this 4/5 stars. I like the 7.6 a little better because it was a little stiffer and poppier. This ski was a little more forgiving but had great solid edge hold. It like to make big wide open turns so if you like big wide turns I would recommend it. It's great for hard pack or soft snow conditions.

Hi, my name is Sean, and I just skied the Blizzard Magnum 7.4 ski. I give it a 3 out of five stars it's geared towards that intermediate to advanced skier. The ski was a little bit too soft but it did make easy and forgiving turns. It was almost a little too forgiving, again I give it a 3 out of five stars. It's geared towards that intermediate to advanced skier.

Hi, this is Doug, I just got off the Blizzard magnum 7.4. This is the ski that will make everybody feel like a super hero. Its' super fun to ski, it will go edge to edge really fast. It's really light and snappy in the turns, moves down the mountain really well, it'll run really nice and sweet. Super stable I give this one a 5 out of 5.
