Are your skis ready? Is your stoke at an all time high and waiting for the slopes to open up is just too long, we have you covered. Skis.com is happy to announce the 2nd annual Birmingham rail jam presented by Don Thomas Sporthaus, the Otsego Club and the O Park. Last years rail jam was a hit so this year the course has been redesigned to be a lot larger with the addition of a skateboard bowl for some non-snow fun also. You know you want to come check it out so take in the information below and grab your skis and gear up for a fun filled excursion.
Saturday September 25th 2010
Midwest skiers rejoice! The rail jam is going to be held in the median between Woodward Avenue and Old Woodward South of the 555 building in Birmingham Mi. Woodward Avenue has some of the highest traffic in Michigan so be ready to astound on lookers with your sick steeze.
Rail Jam Demo-
Rail jam featuring sponsored skier Maxamas Hill and a special guest.
After the demo the amateur’s strut their stuff, with 50+ skiers throwing their best tricks for prizes and to make a name for themselves.
Bring your skateboard as there will be a skate bowl for all skateboarders to drop into and get some carves in.
In addition to all the great activities going on all day there will also be a lot of vendors giving out free schwag you will not want to miss. Also the local rock station WRIF is doing a broadcast from the scene bringing the hype level up. If that’s still not enough, well, did I mention there will be prizes and giveaways throughout the day!
