Ski and Snowboard Backpacks

Carrying a backpack while skiing and snowboarding is great. You can easily carry extra supplies as well as emergency supplies. There are many styles and brand of skiing backpacks available on skis.com including basic backpacks for simply carrying a few items to protective backpacks, and airbag packs great for backcountry safety. With so many choices in styles as well as top brands, you are sure to be able to find the exact backpack you are looking for but to make it easier we have added some refinements to narrow your search. These refinements are found on the left side of the page and contain such things as brand, price, intended use, as well as other features. Selecting a feature from the refinements will refresh the page and show only backpacks that fit what you’re looking for.

Backpack Intended Use

One of the most important refinements when shopping for a new skiing pack is the intended use. This refinement offers a few choices including casual, daypack and snow. Casual backpacks are going to be the type of pack used for school and will be great as a school pack or for simply packing a few items in like lunch and a first aid kit. Daypack backpacks are going to offer a bit more room inside and will be adequate in carrying a day’s worth of supplies which could include some food, first aid supplies and extra clothing. The snow category of backpacks consists of packs that offer a bit more, which could mean the pack offers an airbag feature, a spine protector or the pack is a ski or snowboard carrying pack.

Ski and Snowboard Carrying Backpacks

On Skis.com we stock a large selection of backpacks that will carry snowboards and skis in specially equipped straps on the pack. These backpacks are great for those that are going into the backcountry and hiking to spots or for those that need to walk to the mountain from town. Ski and snowboard carrying backpacks can also be used as basic carry packs when not carrying skis or snowboards. The strap when not in use does not get in the way and the pack will still offer great capacity for storage of other gear.

When shopping for a backpack you will need to keep in mind what you will be using the backpack for. Will you be going on day long backcountry trips? Or, will you simply be using the backpack for trips to the local mountain and maybe for school? Many people own multiple backpacks for skiing so if you answered yes to both of those, it may be wise to invest in multiple packs. A backpack can be a skier or snowboarder’s best friend and most boarders and skiers will accumulate a vast collection of packs in their lifetime, so why not acquire some from Skis.com!
