 Overview

The Armada El Rey is designed as the perfect ski for the beginner to intermediate skier that wants a ski that can take them through the park, while still being a well rounded all mountain twin tip. The El Rey has Cap Construction and positive camber that gives you playfulness as you learn how to slide some rails and spin on jumps and an edge hold to perfect your turns. To improve the Durability of the El Rey the Edges are 2.5mm thick to withstand punishment from the park. A Carbon Tail Stringer gives the El Rey an additional snap in the tail to help you ollie on top of a box in the park. Armada's Fleet Light Core has Dual Density Wood that has a light and lively feeling with the rebound to spring you into your next turn, and the Laminate Matrix Construction uses layers of fiberglass that increase the torsional strength of the ski for better edge hold on firmer snow, and more responsiveness at faster speeds. If you are a beginner to intermediate skier looking for a twin tip that will take you on the groomers or through the park, or the mellow skier that will spend and equal amount of time on both the Armada El Rey is the ski for you.

  • Carbon Tail Stringer
  • 2.5 Impact Edge

2016 Armada El Rey Ski Review by Casey
Comments:
Hey, I'm Casey. I just got off the Armada El Rey's. I'd give this ski a 5 out of 5 stars. It's a great ski for that beginner park skier or even up to an intermediate park skier. I was really, really surprised at how well this holds an edge and how stable it was in the park. I give this ski a 5 out of 5 stars.

2016 Armada El Rey Ski Review by David
Comments:
Hey, what's up? I'm Dave and I just got off the Armada El Rey. This is a great price-point ski at $399. It's their entry-level ski in the line. It's an all-mountain ski. Full cap construction, full wood core. Overall I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Super fun ski, super responsive, good stuff.

2016 Armada El Rey Ski Review by Evan K.
Comments:
Evan here. Just got off the Armada El Rey. I give this ski 5 out of 5 stars. It's going to be good for your beginner all the way up to even an advanced skier. This is your price-point from Armada. Definitely surprised me out there. Definitely more of a hard pack snow ski but gonna be good all around on the mountain for your park skier, just all-mountain skier. 5 out of 5.

2016 Armada El Rey Ski Review by Jeff S.
Comments:
Hey, this is Jeff. I just got off the Armada El Rey. I don't spend a lot of time in the park but, if I did, this would be a ski that I would be considering. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. It's a tremendous value. This ski was surprising good underfoot, quick from edge-to-edge. I'm a little big for it so it's going to require a little lighter skier or somebody that's not going to ski as fast or somebody that wants to transition from the frontside to the park. But 4 out of 5 stars for the Armada El Rey.

2016 Armada El Rey Ski Review by Mike B.
Comments:
Hey, I'm Mike. I just got off the Armada El Rey. I'm going to give this a 4 out of 5 stars. I think this ski would be really good for the advanced-beginner all the way up through maybe the advanced- intermediate. It holds a carve very well. Medium and long radius turns seem to be its sweet spot. It's got a twin tip, obviously, so it would be good in the park, screwing around in the pipe, something like that. It's just going to be a really good all-mountain skit for someone that's really looking to do anything. Armada El Rey. 4 out of 5.

Q: what would be a good set of bindings for these ski's?

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The Tyrolia Attack 11 would be a great option for you if you weigh less than 150lbs. If you weigh more than 150lbs. the Tyrolia Attack 13 would be a better option. Both are available in 95mm break widths, which would be a perfect fit.
