Welcome to Skis.com! We are a retailer that has been in the skiing industry since 1990. Our company owns and operates a number of retail stores and we have been using the Internet as an extension of our retail shops since 1997, that's an amazing 15 years of experience on the Internet! We hope that you will find anything and everything you need for skiing right here at Skis.com
Our owner and company founder Steve Kopitz is an avid skier with over 51 years of skiing experience under his belt (he's 57 now). When he was a child he dreamt of owning a ski shop and Skis.com is the online expansion of his dream realized. Steve lives, eats, and breathes skiing. Annually he takes 2-4 skiing trips and has carved up the snow at over 25 ski resorts in the western United States. He's also been skiing in the Swiss Alps and even the Bugaboos in Canada, where he went heli-skiing. He's raised a family of skiers with his wife Kathy, who had to be converted to a skier before he would marry her. His two children, Brad and Jess, were skiing as soon as they could walk and Steve has made it his priority to know as much as he can about skiing so he can share it with you right here.
At Skis.com we work hard to make our site the most comprehensive and helpful skiing website on the Internet. Thanks to Steve's dedication to the sport he loves, you can see it everywhere you look on Skis.com. Our site doesn't just sell you products, we give you information. Our site is filled with articles, blogs, guides, and videos relating to skiing equipment and apparel for you to use at your disposal. We also provide you with an immense amount of site filtering to make the purchasing process easier for you.
The articles, blogs, and guides you'll find here at Skis.com are geared towards helping you find the product, or products, that are right for you. The videos you will find here will range from "how-to-buy" tutorials to "first-hand" reviews from an individual who has actually used the product. We take a tremendous amount of pride in making your online shopping experience personal and helpful. We want you to feel like you just walked into a retail store. This commitment is what sets us apart from all others!
The team that Steve has assembled here at Skis.com is dedicated to making Skis.com the ultimate online ski shop destination because he believes there is significant potential for Skis.com to offer a shopping experience that is better than one you can receive in a store. It is this innovative vision, along with the dedicated work of his staff, that allowed Kopitz and Skis.com to receive one of the Internet's most distinct honors in December of 2008, being named to Internet Retailer magazines Hot 100 websites for 2009. Widely viewed as the pinnacle of ecommerce industry magazines, Internet Retailer would select Skis.com as one of only seven websites for its sporting goods category.
