Hi, I'm Kevin. I just got off the brand new Salomon X Drive 8.3. I give this ski 4.5 out of 5 stars. Really solid, frontside, all-mountain ski for that advanced-intermediate to even like advanced skier on a budget. This thing is rock solid. It's late afternoon, snow's starting to get a little chunky in places and it's kind of blowing right now as you can see, on top of some really firm snow, had super solid edge grip. With a rocker in the tip it went up and over and was still very confident when you got to a little bit chunkier snow. Really easy turn initiation with solid midsole. So, it's a very confidence- inspiring ski to help you push your speed and ability to the next level.

Hey, I'm Mike. I just got done skiing the Salomon X Drive 8.3. I give this ski a 4 out of 5 stars. It's got a sheet of metal of in it so it's very stable, very snappy, pretty powerful ski. I enjoyed this for the frontside of the mountain so I think if you're advanced intermediate all the way up through an expert level skier, you would enjoy this on the frontside of the mountain but I wouldn't hesitate to bring it into a little bit of light chop, maybe some powder, maybe hit up some bumps but it could be an all day ski for, like I said, the intermediate all the way up through the advanced. 4 out of 5 stars.

Hi, I'm Ryan and I just got off the Salomon X Drive 8.3. I give this ski 4 out of 5 stars. This is a great frontside ski for anyone who's an intermediate to advanced carver. Once you get to higher speeds you do lose some edge hold but as long as you're not just full charging down the hill, it's going to give you a lot.

Hi, I'm Steve. I just got off the Salomon X Drive 8.3. I give this 4 out of 5 stars. This ski was very snappy and very quick edge-to-edge. As a matter of fact, the whole X Drive series just kind of amazed me as to all you have to do is really roll the ski over and pop it from edge to edge. I actually like the model that's above this in price but a little narrower. It's called the 8.0. It's a $100 more and I think that $100 is well worth being spent because the other one is a lot more stable than this one. So, this did everything the other one did but without the stability that the 8.0 had. So, I gave it 4 stars.

Hi, I'm Troy. I just got off of the Salomon X Drive 8.3. Great frontside carving ski. Does really, really medium to wider, longer carves extremely well. Holds an edge very well. It's got a lot of life to it. If you want something that's a little bit more stable though, maybe for a heavier guy, you might want to jump to the 8.0 which would has the metal in it as well. That ski is going to be a little bit more damp and more stable for ya. Overall though I would give this 4 out of 5 stars.

Hi, I'm Thom and I just got off of the Salomon X Drive 8.3. I'm going to give this guy a 3.5 out of 5 stars. This ski is very stable. It holds an edge well. It has pretty good pop but it lacks a little bit of the dampness you'd be looking for in a ski like this. It does get a little chattery at speeds but for somebody who's looking for a short fall line ski that's going to be really quick edge to edge and snappy and isn't worried about skiing at higher speeds, this is a great option.
