2014 Full Tilt Classic Mens Boot Overview
Hey, welcome to Ski Talk. I'm Rob from skis.com joined today by our Full Tilt rep Jeff. Jeff, thanks for being here. Thanks for having me. So, today we're going to talk about the Full Tilt Classic.
This is a really cool boot from Full Tilt. Jeff, what can you tell me about it? Well, first off, it's called the Classic because graphically it's a throwback boot to the 80s when Bill Johnson was using this during the World Cup. And, now talking about throwback, this is a bit of a throwback shell. What can you tell me about the shell of this boot? Well, we do three different shells at Full Tilt and this is called the FTO or FT Original Shell. It's a 99 last. They're all three-piece shells so the tongue is separate from the back to the forebody of the boot. And talking about the tongue, the tongue is a lot of where the flex is coming from in this boot.
What is the flex of this boot? Yes, this is a 6 flex and it can be changed out easily if somebody wanted a stiffer flex or a softer flex but it comes with a six. And internally, really cool liner, cool bootboard to this boot. Yeah, all the Full Tilt Boots feature an Intuition, heat-moldable liner. This one has a rigged bootboard more for all-mountain performance. Definitely. And, one of the great features with this boot that I really love are the buckles. Yes. Super easy to work. The whole front tongue folds way over. The ratchets come over. Easy to get into even when it's ice cold in the trunk of the car. Perfect. And so the Classic, who is the customer for the Classic? I would say the intent of this customer was for an all-mountain do everything skier but, graphically, a lot of the freestyle guys like it because of the purple and green graphics on it. Definitely. Very cool looking boot. Very retro. So there you have it. That's the Full Tilt Classic. I want to thank Jeff for joining us. Again, I'm Rob from skis.com. This has been Ski Talk.
